Sea Shanty Fish & Chips

We ordered take out Halibut & Chips. The chips were great! The Batter one The fish was thin and crispy, however, for $21.50 each we expected a good sized portion of Halibut. Unfortunately, ours was Guppy-sized.a very small portion of fish. We are very disappointed and still hungry.

Absolutely pathetic! Maybe 3 oz of half edible fish and a handful of fries for $ 21. Do not waste your time or money

Will definately go there again for the Thursday lunch special. Staff was friendly and even offered a glass of water while I waited for my take out. Sad that I have to add that but most places wouldn't have staff that was so thoughtful. Kudos.

I've been going to Sea Shanty since I was 17,26 years later and it's better than ever. I went there today with family for my birthday, the atmosphere was cozy yet modern, our server attentive and kind. And the fish and chips were amazing! We all got the Thursday cod special and everyone loved it. The fish had an airy batter that wasn't greasy and the chips were what I consider true chip shop chips. I look forward to returning, just as I always have.

We recently had the pleasure to find this hidden gem in Burlington, the first time we were there, we ordered Fish & Chips to go and I have to say, we were impressed by the quality of the food, portions and friendly service.

We decided to go once again to dine in and we were not disappointed, the food was really good, the presentation was very nice, the food was hot and the portions were plentiful.

Then we found out that they were serving breakfast on the weekends so we decided to give it try and again, everything was great from quality, to presentation, portions, taste and price.

This hidden gem has a beautiful ambience, very nice decor, it is clean, the service has been always been amazing, the owner is a delight and sweet, checked on us and we have had nice conversations with her.

This place has definitely become one of our favourite spots!

Thanks to the positive reviews, we decided to pull in and give it a try and we were not disappointed! What a lovely little spot - nice and clean, good music, comfy seats. We each ordered a lunch special and a drink - one haddock and one cod just to try both. The fish was great - some of the best we've ever had! Fries were also delicious. Our server was kind and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Had fish and chips and coconut shrimp and chips here tonight. Dined in.
Food was hot, yummy and plentiful. The owner was so sweet and she checked on us, and made great conversation. She was so kind to my elderly mom!

Hidden, local gem in Burlington!

Delicious food, light and crispy fish, fluffy but crispy fries, outstanding customer service. These ladies are the sweetest and treat you like royalty. Highly recommend.

Popped in while waiting for my pizza to be made next door and wow what a nice little spot! I don't even eat fish but I'll be back just for their homemade chips and a nice beverage and the genuinely friendly service,

Im not the one to leave a review but in this case I had to, this is my first review I’ve ever done. This was my first time trying Sea Shanty’s fish and chips, I purchased a Halibut and chips on the way home from my work and when I got home and opened the container I felt so disappointed and taken advantage of I couldn’t believe for $20 I got the smallest portion of fish and chips I’ve ever gotten before in my life, I’ve eaten fish and chips all over the GTA for the last 30 years and usually a fish and chip place your expecting a big peace of fish and lots of fries. This place was the complete opposite. This will be the first and last time I purchase anything from there a establishment. This picture shows you what $20 gets you.

Visited here for the apetite of fish n chips, turned out their perfectly (just the right amount battered) cooked hallibut n haddock not only made me delightly full, but I am forsure attracted for further visits. Bon Appetit!

The place is very cozy. The food is great, very satisfying and plated beautifully. The crew is very friendly, and the host is very gracious and welcoming!

First time going here and have great friends to share it with. The staff were great and the food was very good. I would definitely come back and try other dishes in the menu. I ordered Fisherman’s supper and if your very hungry, this is the dish to get. Great food, its a must have for late night dinner with family and friends/coworkers.

Ordered a little while back and absolutely loved it - big portions of fish and fries and, most importantly: it tasted great.

Owner was lovely as well and though I was only doing take-out, the inside of the restaurant was quaint and clean.

They were the best in my opinion. Not sure what happened. Cod was way under cooked my wife tossed hers, no vinegar “No vinegar! ” Come on man seriously! We also added in message for vinegar. No salt either.: (
