Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. They clearly care about dogs and their customers. I came in with questions and was really happy with the care and attention I received.

What a great little shop! We bought a life jacket here recently and picked it up in store for a very good price. We tried the jacket on the spot with no issues, had some help with the fitment and had a few questions answered while we were there.

We came all the way from Markham and would definitely return!

Friendly staff some toys are a wee over priced but the natures choice treats are a good price.

Jason has gone out of his way many times to get what I was looking for in stock quickly, he’s just one of those business owners that seems to really care, it’s refreshing! I couldn’t recommend The Dog Bowl any higher!

Wonderful store with some great products. They carry unique brands and products that aren't carried in big box pet stores. They also carry a larger variety of dog food flavours that I was super impressed to see.

Despite the size of the store, it is jam packed with great pet products.

Now: despite disgruntled owners who bring their dogs into stores where close contact is possible with other dogs, this store is a great resource for dog owners and will continue to be a part of the community. While they can very likely improve upon their knowledge (as both owners in this instance CERTAINLY CAN) the fact remains that the dog owner willingly walked into a store where there was never going to be a guarantee that something couldn’t go sideways. Perhaps don’t bring your dog into tight spaces with other dogs or wait until the other dog has left the premises. You bring your dog, you hold some responsibility.

Also, perhaps demonstrate a wee bit of compassion for the fact that they probably responded to the best of their ability in a highly stressful situations

2019: Jason and his team are incredibly helpful and really have your pup's best interest at heart. My boy just arrived from Thailand recently and je was too scared to go into the store, so Jason came outside with treats. Unconvinced and unwilling to go into the shop, Jason helped me from outside the store, bringing out products for me to look at and then processing the transaction this way as well. I've been in customer service a long time, and this was above and beyond service. Jason has an extensive knowledge and passion for working with dogs that I really appreciate and trust. We're new, but definitely loyal customers!

A super friendly shop with a great selection of quality products. Jason was especially helpful and knowledgeable to find an alternate food for my pup. Having worked in the industry for years it’s always a pleasure to find proprietors that care about their 4 legged customers as much as we do.

EDIT: Responding "Our store does not get involved with disputes between customers" is hardly being in contact. Dog owners should be aware of incidents like these and owners reactions so they can take their bussiness to ethical dog stores.

Since adopting my rescue dog three years ago I have trusted The Dog Bowl staff to offer products, food, gear and toys that enhance her well-being. Not only do they have the best products, the staff are super knowledgeable and just adore dogs. I send every new dog owner I know there. Jason is like a dog therapist, helping me with the special quirks of a rescue pup. His advice has proved invaluable during my new dog mom journey. He goes above and beyond. We’re so lucky to have such a dedicated and wise small business owner in our community.

Jason and his crew are caring and compassionate people who give their time and energy to make the world a better place for dogs. I appreciate all that The Dog Bowl does for the sake of dogs near and far. They are above-and-beyond in it for the dogs, from the little things they do everyday, to the generous donations they made to help dogs in impoverished areas. Their "Have a Heart Fundraiser" helped spay and neuter 113 dogs where the families could not have afforded to do it on their own. They give from the heart. If you are in their area, stop by and meet them in person and see for yourself. Don't forget to pick up some healthy and tasty treats for your favorite pup while you are there!

My favourite and local dog shop for years. The owner and staff have always been so kind and helpful with recommendations for my fussy dog. They are a real staple in the community. We could never pass by without stopping in to say hi and have a snacko.

I can't say enough good things about this store and the folks who work there. The owner and staff were so supportive and helpful to us when we adopted our rescue pup. We make the drive across town because we all love coming in, and being welcomed and treated with care and attention. This is the place to go for deeply researched products with a staff who love dogs and helping their humans find everything they need. HIGHLY recommend!

Don’t go to this place unless you want your DOG TO BE INJURED and just left to SUFFER. They are irresponsible and let dogs roam around without a leash, that can lead to an attack.
