Extremely unprofessional with a bad attitude all around! The store took a deposit on a liquid chlorine container and refused to return the deposit. Products are overpriced and always takes forever to get results from their water testing station. Do yourself a favour and visit Pioneer pools, just down the street!

Great team, nothing but great things to say about them from the service dept to the sales dept! Keep it up.

Can't say enough good things about The Pool Shoppe. Their staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the different features of each pool vacuum, and were great at identifying the best product for my price point and needs.

They went above and beyond when my 5 month old son started crying in store. A kind employee came over and was talking to him to try and help calm him down.

Finally, I ended up ordering a vacuum off of their website later in the day, and it was delivered the same day before dinner!

Seriously top notch customer service. The people here are friendly, knowledgeable, and actually care about making sure you are set up for success with your pool. I bought a refurb Dolphin CC robot that they inspected and refurbished in house. The price and warranty couldn't be beat and it was evident that they stand behind their product. I drove in from out of town and the experience I had at the store (and on the phone afterwards when I needed some help) made the drive worth it. The robot is working great! This is my first inground pool, and compared to the experiences I've had at other stores in Brantford, I'm tempted to make the drive to The Pool Shoppe for any supplies I might need in the future.

The service and selection of products for hot tubs and pools at this family-owned business are excellent. Highly recommended.

I went here to pick up some dart flights and buy a new billard cue left with only flights it was the worst and most uncomfortable shopping experience in my life followed me every step I took he was no more then 5 ft away I'm a 280 pound tattooed man so I guess that means thief lol also I was dressed in shorts and a tshirt so I guess I had alot of places to hide a billard cue never would I go there again

They went above & beyond by contacting the manufacturer of our hot tub. The part was replaced & installed at no cost.

We just moved into a house with a pool and never having had one before, we were eager to have someone teach us about its maintenance. We have a DE filter making things a bit more complicated. We called another vendor and the person that showed up had zero knowledge of our system even though they were informed up front. What a waste of time. They were more interested in selling us a new system and then just flatly refused to help. We ended up having a pump issue which is anxiety inducing for new owners, and Michelle at the service desk was amazing in squeezing us in for a service call. Doug was excellent. He educated us, fixed the pump issue, detected a couple of issues that need addressing, and was kind and patient with our newbie questions. No question that we’ll only be doing business with The Pool Shoppe. Very grateful for their knowledge and professionalism.

If you have a pool, this is the only place you should ever deal with! I have been a pool owner for 35 years and I drive 30 minutes past 4 other pool shops to deal with the phenomenal staff at the pool shoppe. Whether it’s a new liner, pool stair covers, a 2 dollar gasket, or a jug of chlorine, the staff here go above and beyond to give real service! They once opened the shop for us at closing time on a Saturday night because we had a big problem that needed a small repair part. They saved us! And we will never forget that! Staff all treat the biz like it’s their own. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. When it was time to change our liner after 20 years there was no shopping around. The Poole shoppe is the only company I would trust. And even in these most difficult times of staff and supply shortages and extreme heat, everything went superbly well! The men who did the work were excellent! All of them! I could tell they were not seasonal hires like most pool shops. Their professionalism, knowledge, and commitment to getting the job done properly even overtime and with heat challenges, was exemplary! They exceeded my expectations in every way. Liz was wonderful in scheduling the entire project around our holiday times and answering the many questions I had regarding the process. I would also like to commend the many people I have dealt with over the years in service! I am always in good hands and trust their advice. They are knowledgeable professionals! Problem solvers! Other pool companies are not the same! The Poole shoppe rocks! Don’t waste your time or money anywhere else!

Loved the fact you can drop off the water sample and shop around without having to wait in the lineup.
Could use a sign in table with empty water bottles, pen, elastics and paper info sheet.

Went in to learn about hot tub chemicals as our new house has a hot tub.very knowledgeable staff.

Today my partner and I after visiting the "spa expo" in Ancaster, which was a let down, we visited multiple places in Hamilton looking for a new spa for our new home. We came across this place. Also a let down. If you want proper, good friendly service, go elsewhere. After browsing for a minute and no one had come over to see if we needed help, I asked my partner if anyone was going to help us, then this woman who we had walked past on our way in spoke up and wasn't overly polite, making excuses for her being lazy and not getting up to greet us or ask if we needed help. If we're going to spend 15 to 20k on a spa, I'd expect some decent service. When I had said I was leaving and to have a nice day she rudely responded to that. My partner owns two boutique clothing stores and they both do very well, because of good customer service. Maybe I have to high of standards for customer service, but not even acknowledging a person on your sales floor is just being blatelnly being rude, or lazy.

The staff and Sundance spas, friendly and knowledgeable, the staff at pioneer pools up the street, amazing, sales girl saw our electric mustang and had to come check it out. Beachcomber on upper James, A-1, do yourselves a favor, and take your hard earned money and business elsewhere.

I went there shopping for a shuffleboard table for my FIL, and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Will be back soon for a games table and Crokinole board! They had a great selection of dart boards as well. Their staff are very knowledgeable in the products they sell. The store is very clean and well organized.

It started looking for an above ground pool couple years ago
Decided to finally go ahead and call around for prices and install dates
Called the usual suspects all email responses and ridiculous prices
Finally called pool shoppe on a Sunday and just left a message
To my surprise the owner called me back that Sunday and answered some questions and revered me to service who would call me shortly
They called on the Monday (they actually call)
Anyways the customer service was fantastic can't stress that enough

When we arrived, there was plenty of parking. We were greeted at the door and they helped us find the right dart board. Looking around they have plenty of stock in house for darts, billiards and other supplies. I ever seen a customer testing their dart throw for the proper weights.

Friendly and knowledgeable people work here. If you need help or supply's this is the place for all your needs.

The pool shoppe is nothing but the highest class. As someone who worked there, they are caring, inviting and dedicated. I would recommend any and everyone to use them as a pool resource!

Went to The Pool Shoppe to buy filters for my pool. Man behind the parts counter was belittling as to the size of my pool. I did not need his opinion nor did I ask for it. I have been at this store before for my pool needs with no issues. Not pleased with this change in service.

They are full serviced pool and spa retail outlet. They will order in whatever you need. They greet you upon arrival into the store. I like them and they have lots of options other than pool or spa accessories.

Very clean and following safety procedures for covib19. I forgot my mask and they provided one for me to enter and shop.

I opened my pool in May 2020 with a huge gash in my pool liner. I quickly called around. It became apparent that The Pool Shoppe wanted my business. Their prices were competitive with the competition but more importantly, they quickly contact me and had a quote/timeline to have the pool drained, old liner removed, measured, and replaced. They have an excellent selection of pool liners. Liz Currie, in service, communicates very easily and clearly. I've since purchased a safety cover from them.

Knowledgeable staff helped get what we needed, courteous owner, a few more items in-store than first thought, will have to go back to browse!

Had a fantastic experience today with the parts manager. My pump was blowing the breaker no matter which outlet I plugged it into, completely thought I was going to have to buy a new pump. Spoke with the parts manager about replacing the pump $515. He suggested a couple possibilities of a less costly solution, Turned out the fix was 15 bucks. Its service/advise like that that someone like me really appreciates and will continue to spend money at The Pool Shop. Im in sales as well and try to give customers sound advice to the best of my ability. Much appreciated guys.

Not the greatest of service by the cashier that took care of us. Almost as though he was inconvenience to have to be there.

I went in for an above ground pool filter and all the parts that go along with it. The filter was preassembled and is majorly leaking from different parts. I was also given a handful of random other pieces and when I called to ask how to use them they said they didn’t have my purchase on file (I gave them all my contact info when I paid) and that I must have bought it somewhere else. Then when I sent them photos and a video of the problems they never replied.

Dana was amazingly helpful and professional during the web chat. Her recommendations saved me money and provided a great pool filter/pump that we are very happy with. Pick-up and purchase during COVID was safe and organized so well. Happy to recommend to all.

I went to the Poole Shop for a part for our pool. A staff member let us in as someone left the store. The parts department found what I needed quickly and I was on my way. Very friendly service, as always!

They have all of your pool supplies you will need, but they are more expensive than their competitors. Also, some of the staff are not the most knowledgeable, but will direct you to someone who is.you will have to wait to talk to them (as they have a line up of customers wanted their advice).

Great place to go for pool expertise and a quick place to pickup something for you pool. However, there pricing is just not competitive. Anything you find at their store you can find cheaper online. Their pool installation and service people are the most outrageously price around. When I first bought my house they charged my $750 to open my pool - Never again!

I've attempted to buy replacement parts for my spa multiple times from this shop. They never have what I need, the service department is cranky and slow moving (even with an empty store). They do have arcade machines & pool tables for sale though, if that's what you're into.

The pool shoppe is a fantastic store. They have plenty of selection. I enjoy going there even if its just to look around.

Love our aboveground pool but the customer service after the install has been awful. If you are new to pools go somewhere else. They won't come and help you out if you are having problems. Instead they send you an email with a bunch of pdfs for troubleshooting. I paid one hundred dollars for a heater hook up. I told them my gas line was off when they were installing the pool. They said no problem. When I did get the gas line turned on they refused to come and make sure it was working properly. So I had to pay a gas guy to do it. I called to see when I could get my pool closed and they want to charge me for that too. Every other pool company includes a commentary open and close. Not the pool shoppe. Overall a very disappointing experience.

So here’s a fine place if you’re looking for a hot tub or a pool I bought a brand new two-man hot tub fantastic chocolate brown has all the lights all the gizmos but only for two people thought we didn’t need the big one we went for the smaller one great staff assisted us had a good time there people are super nice but that’s just my opinion

This is a very cool store with many unique items and interesting choices. Unfortunately the customer service doesn’t meet what the store looks like. Made a simple order that was supposed to come in in two weeks and after patiently waiting a month and a half for a phone call I called in to find out that my order was going to take another month and a half. After what felt like a very unapologetic conversation I asked for a refund and went on with my day

Had everything I was looking for and more. Staff was very friendly and helped me find what I was looking for right away and nobody tried to upsell me on anything. I'll be back for sure.

Wide range of hobbies, games, and sport products. Prices are average but owner is not willing to price match competitors prices. A lot of great pieces for your bar or backyard.

I was searching for a basic pool table. I ended up buying a much nicer table I ended up building a room around. It was more expensive but sooo worth it. Love the quality and that it was made in the USA.
Donna was very helpful and tailored my order to my needs. Liz was great getting the guy in who did a very professional installation job.
