West End Diner

This place is perfect for breakfast or lunch. Tasty food and out of the way they make it. Will surely visit again.

My friends and I went for lunch and were super disappointed in the service we recieved. Our server was quick to take our orders and then practically disappeared, barely checking in on us for the whole almost hour long wait it took for them to make a sandwhich and a couple classic breakfast orders. We had to ask for an eta on our meals and when we finally had them, the server never checked once to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. She avoided our table and yet brought our checks out quite quick. The food is great, but I wouldn't wait that long for it.

Okay so this is where the old folks go for dinner. The food is pretty good. Choice includes a couple of sides along with the main plate. And to boot there is a beverage. All with senior considerations. The staff are hard working and friendly. Great place for older or younger people to dine.

Food was very good, service was meh. Ppl came in after us and got food b4 we did. Not just 1 table, this was annoying.

Food is excellent…. When it finally arrives at your table. Waited an hour for a sandwich & salad, ridiculous!
Server was very nice, the kitchen staff has no clue what they’re doing!
Unless you have a few hours to kill don’t waste your time here….

The extensive menu provides good variety for a mixed clientele. Senior portions are substantial in themselves. Always great service. Great food and atmosphere.

I love going to the West End Diner for a meal with family and friends. The staff are always ready to greet you with kindness and are quick to take your order and bring out some authentic dinner food. If you like livers then this is the place to go.

Service unacceptable. 1 hr and 15 min wait. Brown lettuce black spots on lemon horrible liver with a dried gravy cold. Fries were perfect.

The service was VERY slow. No one came to see us until we had been sitting for almost 20 mins. Wouldn’t take food order right away (insisted on taking/bringing drink orders first). By the time our breakfast was served we’d been there for over an hour.

Find the employees very disrespectful of the customers and especially the handicapped and seniors when you notice that the employees take the closest parking to the restaurant. Back in my day, employees parked furthest away from the business to allow the one's who are paying there wages access to the business. Lots of other places to eat.

The waitress taking orders was extremely rude. Will never visit again, and would have given zero stars if possible.

Omg food is ro die for the service the ladies are super friendly amazing you get to know them after a few times same with the the cooks they are super friendly so epic job like hands down worth every single penny and bite I literally go every week or every other week to Westend its my jam

Usually a great place to come! Unfortunately, tonight we ordered our usual meals and waited just over an hour to have our food taken away after complaining about a long wait period.
After a small complaint about waiting, the staff said that we weren’t going to pay and took our food out of our hands.
Loved wasting an hour of my Friday night watching the staff avoid our table since we first arrived.

It was extremely disappointing, left hungry and mad.

This restaurant has a vintage feel to it. One of the oldest in the neighbourhood of McMaster University. We had Schnitzel and Eggs Benedict - Cream and Spinach. Both tasted divine. Servers were polite and I will recommend visiting this place if you are in Hamilton.

A nice casual diner. Friendly staff and courteous service. We really enjoyed the food! We had a Philly cheese steak sandwich, along with a greek salad and some thai chicken bites appetizers. All of which came in generous and satisfying portions! Our waitress was very nice and welcoming. Highly recommended.

After visiting a conservation park we decided to stop there to eat, without any prior recommendations, just looking at Google.
We chose our table and the service was quick and impeccable.
The menu is quite large, so it took us a while to choose.
We were three people.we ordered tenders, fish'n chips and schnitzel with mushroom sauce.
The dishes were delicious, very well prepared and well served.
We loved the experience and will definitely be back! I recommend!

To THE COOKS NEED TO BE LOCKED UP. DO THEY NOT KNOW THAT WE CAN HEAR EVERYTHING THEY SAY. THEY SCREAM AT EACH OTHER AND FLIRT WITH SERVERS IN AN INAPPROPRIATE WAY. USING BAD LANGUAGE IN BOTH EXAMPLES. MAYBE IF THERE WASN'T SO MANY OF THEM THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TIME TO EAT, USE CELL PHONES. AND WRECK THE DINNING EXPERIENCE.after many years we are finished here.today we Sat at 4: 20.order taken at 4.32. Then 3 different tables came in a total of 9 people. They all had their food before me which arrived at 5.05.the food was something I would give a dog.my hot turkey sandwich was 75% of garbage and dark meat that I would throw away
