YMCA Strathroy-Caradoc Family YMCA Marilyn Buttery Branch

I really wanted to like this gym. HOWEVER its too small the cardio room is great the gym is super tiny and not as much to offer as the other YMCA. I hope one day we will get a better YMCA unfortunately not worth paying them the same amount as i would have paid with the YMCA’s which have a library ice rink or pool and even jungle gyms for kids to enjoy plus many other extra circular programs.

Strathroy deserves better as its growing.

Ps: I have nothing bad to say about the staff. You guys all wish for the same as well. Ill definitely be back if YMCA starts builing a BIGGER facility and offering just as much as the other facilities.

This is the best Gym ever. Everyone is helpful and making me feel comfortable.

Such a great place to work out. If you want to spend your time lifting weight or gazing outside on an elliptical-this is your place. Very rarely is it crazy busy-especially during the day.
Helpful & Supportive employees that treat you like family. I’m greeted ever visit by a smiling face.

I am a member. They would not even let a 9 yearold girl look in the gym for 2min. The employee who was clearly being lazy, became aggressive and rude. When I told her it was not the “end of the world” that she looks in for 2 seconds to see the gym. She became even more rude. We walked away. When we exited the place, I told her I would contact head office about her actions. She then threatened me back, asking the other employee to document my membership.

Ridiculous. This is why this place will go no where. Every other city has a nice YMCA, based on donations and good intentions. This was not good intentions. This employee did not like that we were standing up to her rude comments and would not tolerate her useless comments. My daughter left saying you can always tell a “Karen” in action. She sure was. I don’t know what community service she is doing to make her work there but she is full on crazy.

Update: After speaking to Ash De Cruz and branch manager Kerri-Anne it was not a positive out come. They stated the employee was standing doing it for safety reasons. I again informed the two of them that was impossible as this employee did this right after we told her “We are just there to look. ” 30min phone call, that seemed like all they wanted was for me to take this down. The branch manager again, said how she would show “New Members the location”… again I told them, I was a member for 2 years and that was not the normal process for YMCA members going to a new location. Ash said he would call the sarnia location on my behalf, suggesting something that was again ridiculous. I told him not to do that, again had to defend myself. This is absolute ridiculous. I guess you can have good score when you call up the people who leave negative reviews. If this is again the way things are handled, no wonder the employee came swinging with no regard.

I don’t know if I want to go to any YMCA any more. Its awful, I would go to all of them in London for the last 3 years. The Sarnia one is beautiful, with amazing staff. Awful this one seems to have the no appreciation for the core values down pat. Its awful these employees have taken me from a member giving away brand new $80 basketballs to young kid shooting hoops and making financial donations to not even wanting to be a member and regretting prepaying for months. Heartbreaking! I was the wrong one to do this to.

All this to a little 9 yearold just wanting go see the YMCA.
