The staff are friendly and helpful and not high pressure at all. I've had a few unusual requests that most places would automatically say "no" to but they help me out every time. Prices are great, location and parking are convenient. A buddy of mine from Alberta has been a fan of Memory Express for a long time and now I see why.

This group is always super helpful at finding you what you need for the right price, even if it means they don’t make as much money. Great customer service, 10/10.

Great place to go for computer stuff. Staff are knowledgeable and very helpful, selection is good, and prices are competitive with Amazon — without the risk of getting a counterfeit product.

I do wish they wouldn't ask for my phone number, but that's minor. Maybe they need it for product recalls or something.

Was sold a faulty laptop that didn't show signs of any problems for a couple weeks. After those couple weeks the screen began dying and would require a reboot causing all files to be lost. Brought the laptop in for repairs and because they can't replicate the issue, I'm now on the hook with a useless two year warranty in the ballpark of 200$ and a laptop that crashes if left alone for 5+ minutes.

Order your parts and pc off Amazon. Might have a better chance of getting your money's worth.

This review is a shout-out to Victoria Murphy, as she was extremely helpful, polite, knowledgeable, patient, and just an overall wonderful person to deal with. Furthermore, this is not your typical review, as it will contain details on how our experience went but will not contain specific details on what was purchased (technology is ancient after like 5 years anyway).

I also just want to quickly say that I am writing this review in my perspective and that the actual customer was my brother.

This review will be split into 3 parts: Day 1, Day 2, and TLDR (Too Long Don't Read).

Day 1 - Gathering Information

Upon entering Memory Express, Victoria greeted us and showed us customer service skills that we wish everyone had. She was attentive to both of us and was more than willing to show us both pre-built computers and all of the parts to build a computer. A majority of our time at Memory Express was spent on looking at different parts for an awesome custom build.

By the end of Day 1, Victoria hand-picked three different computer builds for my brother. Despite not purchasing anything, she was very understanding and patient with us. When we got home, my brother did more research online to determine if he should buy all the parts from Memory Express or source the parts himself for a potentially better deal than what was offered.

Day 2 - The Purchase

My brother decided to buy all the parts from Memory Express. It was an easy decision to make especially after the positive experience we both had from there yesterday. I also convinced him to build the computer himself so that he can take this opportunity to learn and do future builds himself.

When we entered Memory Express, Victoria was busy helping another customer. While we were waiting, we were acknowledged by a gentleman named Dave and he had asked us if we were waiting for Victoria. I was genuinely surprised, as I am used to employees ignoring customers and minding their own business including but not limited to staring at their phone while on the job. Hence, this deserved a spot in this review.

As soon as Victoria finished helping her customer, we had her recreate one of the computer builds that she hand-picked for us yesterday. Like yesterday, we threw every question we had at her and I'll tell you right now, she's good at her job. If you're not careful, you'll end up spending more money than your budget allows.

My brother purchased all of the parts with confidence and left the store as a satisfied customer. Did you know that if you buy all of your parts from Memory Express, you can have them install the CPU, RAM and storage drive onto the motherboard at NO COST? We took up on that and it certainly made the build easier.

TLDR;

The employees here are phenomenal. They are very knowledgeable about computers (or even just technology in general) and are attentive to your needs. It's not like they know everything of course, but they have that positive attitude where they will seek out an answer to help you. I cannot speak for everyone there, but the positive experience we had with Victoria speaks a loud volume to us and we would definitely return as customers thanks to her.

Have you ever had that poor experience shopping at that one store and you never came back? I know I'm not the only one who has experienced customer service that was lacking due to a negative attitude from an employee, making you NOT want to shop there again. Well, these Memory Express employees are a special breed of the human race, as they breathe passion in their work and they want to work with you, the customer, to find the best possible solution. My brother's PC is performing like a behemoth and it exceeds his expectations.

Every time I go in there it blows my mind how busy it is, but it's something I love to see. It's such a privilege to have a great place like this to buy PC stuff right in town. Jesse, Chris, and Andrew have been the ones helping me out, and they are all excellent. Prices are very competitive, which makes sense, or else everyone would just buy online. Also had to return a PSU, and that process went really smoothly. Overall I would totally recommend going here to get your PC parts if they have them in stock, since you're paying the same price, if not cheaper, than online. Plus it's always better to support local.

If I could give it a 6 star review I would. This business has employees that know what they're talking about, stock on things not easy to get, and always have an answer or a way to get done what you need. Top tier service and top tier salesman. I build pcs as a side gig and get majority of my parts from them. Their warranty and price beat options are stellar, definitely check them out. And if you do go, give Leigh a shout! Never have I had such a pleasure dealing with a salesperson. Knows his stuff and is never afraid to answer a question you may have. I recommend checking them out if you're in the market for pc parts and have business to give!

Went in to get a mouse, keyboard, and monitor for my home office. I told the gentleman behind the counter my budget and I walked away with much nicer equipment than I had expected because he listened to what I needed and made good alternate recommendations.

Awesome service! Bought components to build a PC for my son. Everything was in stock except the power supply but we going an alternate and they mounted the CPU and memory on the motherboard for me free of charge.

So, just to get my computer looked at it's: a 10-day wait, $50 down, and $50 PER HOUR. I heard this place was reasonable but I'll be looking elsewhere for repairs unfortunately.

Stopped in 10 minutes before close and Aaron and the rest of the staff stayed late to help us out of a jam. They helped us find the right parts and made sure we left happy.

Awful return policy or an overpriced warranty that costs half the value of your laptop.

Tried to support local but terrible customer service. I’ll support local Best Buy or Staples who also staff local employees and better customer service/warranty/return policies.

EDIT: Don't know how to respond to the owner's response, but 15 day return policy isn't fair or flexible, its trash. Any potential buyer should really pay attention to what other companies are offering (30 days is pretty standard). Especially when many stories of you guys repacking faulty returns and reselling again. My product was 20 days from purchase date because I had barely used it until then, the USB ports were faulty and kept disconnecting devices. When I contacted store was basically told I was SOL and that's why they offer the 50% new purchase price extended warranty. It's unfortunate because the person working there was trying so hard and imploring me to get the extended warranty, looking back on it he probably knew it was faulty but at the time I just thought he was trying to make his commission on the warranty. I was told my only course of action was to send it to the manufacturer, with no timelines provided on how long that would take, estimated 6 months. Oh well live and learn I suppose. Although it sucks I am out $1500 on a bunk laptop, to me its a sunk cost at this point. My real pleasure comes from sharing my story with people I talk to and steer them away from Memory Express. I went in about a year ago to have a PC built, but I have been out of the PC scene for a while so I left the decisions up to the guy behind the desk, and just gave him a ballpark amount to work within. I am beyond happy with everything to do with my pc, and the service I got at this location. I have been the proud owner of a desktop powerful enough to run Elden Ring on the highest graphics settings possible, and has given me no grief (other than what I caused through my own ignorance). They are highly knowledgeable, and are happy to help with whatever you may need.

This place is cool and the guys inside all said I was really handsome and they kept trying to touch my face but I wouldn't let them but they still tried really hard and I blushed a lot.

Refuses to replace their customer's power supply knowing good and well it has a warranty that wasn't voided.

I like coming here because the staff here are extremely knowledgeable but they don't make a guy who doesn't know much feel bad about it. They educate! I have been here a few times and have had good service every time I have been here. Today I went in for a keyboard and they had ones from 24.99-399.99. Definitely something for everyone. This computer I didn't buy I just thought it was way cool.

Andrew helped me a ton with some overheating and upgrading problems my computer was having. Made sure to walk me through exactly what I needed to get what I wanted.

Staff are extremely nice and knowledgeable, even if you don't quite know what you are looking for they will be able to tell you the pros and cons of everything and give you multiple recommendations. I've never had any issues with returns and the in store warranty is Fantastic. This is the only store in the city I will buy computer parts and accessories from.

Aaron was a great help in getting me my new build - would definitely recommend his expertise. This was my first trip to ME after being a long time OTV customer. Great store, friendly staff, solid products.

If you're reading this and you're in the market for a new build (or even a GPU) - visit the store in person regularly to see what they have, don't bother waiting on the web store or searching for a prebuild. I was lucky enough to track down a 3060 to order with my build, the only drawback was the 5-7 days to build with having the parts in stock, which was understandable due to current demand and other customer orders awaiting parts to complete.

Aaron provided updates along the way, and they were able to complete the stress tests on time and push it out a day early. This worked well for my schedule that day!

One can easily bypass the week build ETA by doing it themselves, but with the price tag, it didn't hurt having an experienced PC builder assess the parts and integrity of the case before sending me on my way. Not to mention the tests that were done to ensure everything was operational. I can truly say my dream build was plug & play, no OS setting configuration or installation required.

Customer service is always awesome, any time I've had an issue they went out of their way to resolve it for me. They'll always have my business.

Always great customer service my goto place for pc parts. Typically better prices than amazon so it’s nice to be able to support close and local this will always be my shop

Took a laptop that wouldn’t power up in for repairs. Paid the $55 fee for them to look at it. A week later they said it was working. Came to get it, they couldn’t get it to power up.they said they would look at it again. A few days later they called me back to say it was working. My son went to get it, again they couldn’t get it to work!

We took the laptop to someone else to fix it, wasted the $55 and almost two weeks of our time. They haven’t contacted me to talk about it, in an attempt to say sorry or offer a refund or credit, leaving this a terrible experience and awful first impression of their business.

Go anywhere else for repairs service.

The manager, the customer service desk and the salesperson were all fantastic and were quick to help and even beat the competitors pricing. I bought a computer here a few days ago. For the most part everything was pretty decent. I did have most of what I wanted picked out before hand.

The part that kind of bothered me was I was missing a display port cord when I was all done setting up. I couldn't call, because they are not answering phones (answering machine says please stop in store). So, I had to drive all the way across town to SEE if they had the cord the next day.

And yes, they forgot the cord. They could have called and told me of their mistake, but it was up at the front desk with a sticky note on it. So, I asked that since I had to drive across town and I sunk $5.5k on a new computer, if they could throw in a cord. He scoffed at me and said "Sorry, we don't give away free things".

2 stars may seem low, but this really upset me. I figured the customer service would be a little better considering it was their mistake.

So, they contacted me just a little while ago, and Carmello (I hope I spelled that correct) was really amazing! He gave me my purchase today for free credit, and was super polite and friendly! I'm changing it to a 5 star just for him! Greatly satisfied!

Purchased a new computer system through them just recently. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The build was done very professionally and I would reccomend anyone looking to build a new computer to do it through Memory Express!

Bought a high end video card. Competitive prices and no upsell. Guy I talked to was honest and knowledgeable.

I got them to build a PC for me. They called me and clarified certain things in my build. Ended up saving me money on things I didn't need. PC is great! Customer for life. Owen did a great job building it.

Not a good experienced. We're looking for desk top computer and planning to build a computer suddenly one staff a bald guy "white" approached us if we are not buying told us that we better look and browse in the computer at home and just leave? This guy was rude he doesnt know how to accommodate client/customer. Better go to OTV if to buy any parts.

I've been in a few times over the last couple months and have only gotten top level customer service, from the sales team to the service department. They don't make you feel rushed or pressured and take the time to make sure you are getting exactly what you need/want. They should hold seminars on customer service because this is the gold standard.

The employees actually knew what they were talking about and even tested my mobo for me before i bought to assure it was working

This place is a gem in the city! I wanted to buy a SSD to USB cable. I looked at every electronics store in the city with no luck. And then a gentleman at one of those stores told me about this place. I found what I wanted here instantly.
