Ryan provided excellent service including his email communications prior to his visit to establish a mutually convenient time to service my Valor gas fireplace. He arrived at the appointed time, was well organized and worked in a manner that left everything working well.
There was respect shown for the area around the fireplace by using a floor covering that he brought with him. His pleasant, professional manner was appreciated- 5 star service!

Very happy with the results -peace of mind & the gas fireplace looks " like new" despite it being 19 years old.

We had a WETT inspection for our wood stove done by another company. The process was fine and the inspector knowledgeable - however they found a deficiency with our rain cap and wanted $500 (!) to replace it. This didn't seem right so we called around and eventually were recommended Ryan/Flametech. Ryan agreed to help us out, and was able to not only come out and take a look at our unit, but also replace our raincap for significantly less than the previous estimate.

After our experience, Flametech is now our first choice for all things related to our wood stove. Ryan was knowledgable, professional, friendly, and did great work for a fair price. If you want quality work that you can trust, go with Flametech Heating.

Ryan was absolutely great to deal with. He serviced our natural gas fireplaces. When that fireplace was no longer operational, he removed the old fireplace and installed our new Revillusion. The fire effects are quite incredible.

A huge shoutout to Ryan for sourcing this particular fireplace. It took a few months to get it ordered, and when it arrived the corner was damaged. I saw it unpacked so I knew it was shipped damaged. Ryan make the extra effort to get the old one returned and the new one installed. Dealing with a damaged return item was as frustrating as it might seem. But as you can see, it all turned out great!

Ryan has provided annual service for my gas fireplace for two years and I'm very happy with his work. He responds promptly, is reliable and courteous. His fees are very reasonable too!

The only draw back was the need to book 4 to 6 weeks in advance because they are in demand for good reason.

We decided they were worth the wait as the fuel and vehicle surcharges of some of their competition were pretty insane ($60 compared to $10 for comparable distances).

We made the right choice and will use them again.

We had our gas fire place installed by Ryan almost a year ago so we are just starting on our second fire season with it. We are very happy with our purchase and it has been working perfectly since it was installed.

What impressed me most is Ryan's attention to detail in assessing our needs and in the installation process. I was especially happy that he went to great lengths to protect our living room against any damage with thick, quilted tarps anywhere anything had to be laid down. He also did a fantastic job of ensuring the job site was cleaned up and he removed all packaging and waste material

Ryan came to our home to do an annual maintenance on our gas fireplace after we have been having it serviced by another company for the past few years. WOW what a difference having a true professional doing he work. He adjusted things the original install company never too the time to do, cleaned up from the last service person that was here, and was simply great.

I was having my fireplace renovated giving it a more up to date look. Part of that process required an insert of some kind. As I don't have gas, an electric insert was the option. I met with Ryan at Flametech to have this done. He was great, always on time, always responsive to my questions of which I had many. Would definitely recommend him.

Flametech did a stellar job taking out our old wood-burning fireplace insert and installing a new gas fireplace insert! They were very efficient and communicative in their approach, consulting appropriately for exactly what we wanted, running the copper piping from our gas service at one end of the house to the other end where the fireplace chimney is located. They even figured out how to save us a little money during the installation. We are incredibly happy with our new heating. It looks and feels wonderful!

We recently had a new gas insert installed in our old wood burning fire place. The result is amazing, and we're super happy with the quality, workmanship, and communication from Ryan and his team. I contacted Ryan last year for a gas fireplace maintenance. He did a thorough and careful job but diplomatically pointed out that these units don't last forever and, with 20+ years of good service, it might be time to consider a replacement.
His advice checked out and this year I had Ryan replace the unit. The job was completed with minimal fuss and bother. It was easy to contact and communicate with Ryan and there were no surprises in the timing and cost of the install. Again, the work was done with care and thoroughness. Couldn't ask for more!

We moved into our place last year and haven’t had a gas fireplace before. This year we couldn’t get the pilot light lit and Ryan came by to clean and service. It works, looks great and Ryan showed us the basic settings as well. Definitely will use Flametech for regular servicing!

Update: Sept 2020
My natural gas fireplace needed cleaning and additionally the remote had stopped working again. Ryan laid down a protective cloth on my floor, took the fireplace apart and vacuumed/inspected it. He was also able to troubleshoot the remote and didn't need any new pieces (though left the model numbers of the parts if i needed to order them in the future). Additionally he alerted me to a fortis rebate that granted me $25 back for having my fireplace serviced! Very satisfied.

Ryan installed a Valor G3 insert in our home. We were concerned about the masonry arch in our fireplace but Ryan put our minds at rest and did a very good job. We are very pleased with the results and highly recommend him.
