Saanich Public Works Garden Waste Drop Off (Residents only)

We've been using this service since it's inception. Can't thank the saanich employees enough. It's not perfect, but they make it work. Helpful, pleasant, professional. 100%

How ridiculous. 40 to 50 minute wait to get rid of your yard rubbish. Not to mention closed during the week? Are they going to open on Sunday now?

Needs to be open, Tuesday til Saturday, it should comvient for the public, not management!

Entrance is on Borden St, not McKenzie Ave. Webcam shows Borden St entrance. McKenzie Ave entrance is usually chained off.

I love this garden waste drop off! It’s open 6 days a week and in my experience it is very little wait time. The staff are courteous and patient. They direct us in the right manner and offer help when needed!

Too bad they can’t text users so we know we closed like Saanich does for the home compost & garbage pickups. We live in Gorge area & its a pain to load up, drive across town & find it closed. Guess we need to check the website every time even when it’s supposed to be open

I wish that this service was open every week day. The demand for it is large and the lineup are too long.

Would get 5 stars if it was open. Should not be closed due to covid as there is 1 staff to compact the wast in the bins. Council wants to redevelop the site so they are using the covid excuse to train us to go elsewhere.
Last Tuesday the line up was down to MCBriar and on Nicholson street also. About 900M long.
