Shipment declared "lost" because UPS store refuses acceptance of packages for pickup. Damn near fraudulent

Do not use as a UPS pickup access point. Staff refuse even small shipments from the delivery drivers because they have no space, and packages get returned to sender as the system registers a "refused by receiver"

UPS doesn't seem to have a system in place to tell you they can't hold it, they just make it seem that you're refusing your own package.

Choose a different pickup location for UPS packages.

Quite possibly one of the rudest interactions I've had.

I dropped off a box with a printed labelled, the clerk didn't even say hi, he just said put it there. Then I asked if the return address needed to be somewhere else and he said "I dont know, I dont know.you can go now". I asked if I was getting a receipt or confirmation or anything and he said "no, you're done" and waved me away.

I hope my package doesn't get lost.

I had a packed shipped to this store for a customer. The guy there purposely refused the package 2 times to spite both the customer and myself. Avoid this place at all costs. Dude was extremely rude.

Called to see the status of my package as I had requested it be sent to this pickup point. Employee who answered the phone was extremely rude, kept insisting they knew nothing about the status of my package which has been in limbo for 4 days at this point. Upon trying to clarify, the person hung up! What is going on at this location?

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The lady behind the counter, Connie, was not only unhelpful but extremely disrespectful and short. I was notified that my package was ready for pick up at this location, only for her to say it wasn’t there and tried to push me out by helping customers waiting in line after me. I asked her simple questions, and was met with rudeness and poor explanations. She saw on her end for me to pick up the package on Monday, September 25th, and when I showed her the message saying to pick it up BY Monday, September 25th (not on) or it will be sent back, she said that it was not here and I would be notified when it arrived. I told her I was already notified it arrived and that’s why I was here, and she cut me off and told me to call UPS. She even had the audacity to try calling me out as she was leaving and I was standing outside on the phone with UPS. They ended telling me the same thing! In the end, the older Asian gentleman found the package (likely not properly received by her, as she said she did all of the packages that morning) and I was able to go with my stuff 30 min later.

I can understand staff shortages and the stress of working customer service jobs, being in similar roles myself at one point, but at the bare minimum, speak to people decently rather than confrontationally, especially when they’re not even picking a fight. This lady thought anything but letting her bully me was considered rude. The most horrible experience I’ve ever had anywhere.

I’ve been using this particular UPS store at the Canwest Mall (yes I know it’s the West Shore Town Centre) on a very regular basis for the last couple of years, and I’m super pleased with the service and the speed in which I’m able to get in and complete my business.
They always great me, and help me right away. It’s especially great because I have an invisible disability (after breaking my back in 2017) that makes standing painful, so when I’m helped quickly and efficiently it really matters to me.
My packages are always processed the same day they are dropped and I have never had a negative experience or anything happen with any of my packages that I posted from this location.
Thank you! I will continue to be a loyal customer.

UPS couldn't deliver to my apartment, so after a few days they left the package here for pickup. Staff was polite and professional.

I do a lot of shipping for business and personal, this store is unprofessional, unfriendly, not helpful and when told by UPS (via phone) that printing a shipping label was free and no problem, he denied that and tried to charge over $5 for printing a label and then was angry that we didn’t want to. Terrible service, cheap (nickel and dimming) and offensive. Left without utilizing service.

What a terrible experience. Awful customer service. Rude employees when.answering simple questions. The delivery service says they tried to deliver my package twice at my condo, which is a lie since there is no record of it on the electronic doorbell and I was home all day. It's quite sad, but it is no surprise that UPS is failing as a business. Please train your people!

Wish I could give zero stars. Customer service is non existent. Owner is rude beyond belief. Constantly interrupted me and would not let me finish a sentence. Store is messy and dark. I came in to check for a package that required a signature and was pointed to a pile of packages on the floor. Do not use this UPS access site. Awful!

The owner of this store has no concept of manners or customer service, he is RUDE and GROTESQUE. Please DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY PACKAGES. He does not represent Canadian values at all. I have no idea why he is in BC. I reported him to UPS, probably they will not do anything. But please AVOID this place at any cost, You are better off giving the business to Canada Post or any other carrier

I don’t understand why this store is still in business. If you look at the ratings, they’re awful. The owner of this store has no concept of customer service. He’s extremely rude. I’ve been there twice to drop off packages. The last time I was there he complained that I had to tape the shipping label better, so I asked for tape and he reacted poorly and told me to go away!

Horrible experience, they were listed as a pick up shipping location for UPS, they refused my package without a reason, when I phoned for clarification and how I can redirect my very small package to my home, the person on the phone rushed through every sentence and tried to hang up at the end of every breath, I had to keep catching him to ask a question, where the answer changed over and over.

Terrible process, not providing the basic service they advertise, and zero accountability or help when things go belly up.

DO NOT GO HERE! GUY CHARGED ME ALMOST $10 TO PRINT TWO BLOODY SHEETS OF PAPER. Guy is a con artist and ups is franchise owned so guy can overcharge you up the a$$. Save your time and money and run this clown into bankruptcy from lack of customers.
I'll drive across town to avoid that location from now on.

This ups locations is straight ballz. The owner Eddie ‘guy in the pic’ has the worst customer service in the whole universe. Jabba the hut himself would do a better job. He’s not only rude he’s a crook! Charging 10$ to use his printer and then I pay cash and he refuses to give me a receipt! Bing Bong. Eddie please go back to clown college and I wonder if ups head office will ever doing anything about you. You give ups a bad name. I drive downtown and waste and hour of my life, instead of seeing you and your dirty store.

UPS at Jacklin Rd is disgraceful, zero customer services, the place is filthy. The store owner closes earlier than scheduled, when customer wanted to drop a package, he made sign saying " Go away". This UPS store should be closed. I'm never going to return to this location again.

Called this place to get their location. Was quite rudely asked what I had to ship and where it was going. When I said I had a box going to MB, I was yelled at “don’t bring here! ” I realize there are shipping delays due to flooding in BC, but no reason for this kind of response. Other reviews here talk about terrible customer service, and now I’ve experienced first hand!

The asian man in there has horrible customer service. Extremely rude and demanding. He was trying to ship an open box with a cellphone in it with only the shipping label to hold it down. God only knows where my package would've ended up.

I called to get information on my package and Eddy had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. He kept cutting me off, wouldn't listen to what I had to say and kept saying he works for himself and to call UPS if I have any issues. If I could give him zero star review I would. Absolute a hole.

Ordered something from the US. Didn't deliver it. I called the company that used UPS and they sent me a replacement. Now UPS would act as my broker without my consent, although I called them and emailed them, saying I want to clear my customs, DO NOT do that for me. And I even asked the agent if my voice is being recorded and she said yes I said great. Then UPS just did the opposite and acted as my broker and asked for almost half the amount of money I paid for the parcel
I said yeah right, talk to the hand then. If you didn't listen to me when I said I want to clear my customs, I won't listen to you now asking for money
Stay like that, and lose more money, good job

I have to say I don't get all the negativity in the reviews. I have used this UPS for some very important shipments with stuff I really don't want to get lost and it has been stellar everytime. Eddie has always been able to help and make suggestions for shipping speeds, prices, etc. Old location, new location, service has always been great. When a document was lost in an Ontario sorting center, Eddie helped track it down and get it back (Thanks by the way!). I have had far worse experiences with some of the lineups, service and customer service representatives and ship times at a fair number the competitors in the West Shore. Speed and prices always seems to the best here. At least for me and from my experience, I'll keep using and recommending this UPS store 100%. Thanks Eddie!

No stars if I could. He charges money for me to pick up something and drop things off.he pockets the money cause I have never been charges $5 any other location, on top of the fees my mom already pays to send stuff from Saskatchewan. I wish I would have read the reviews.

Do not give this place your service. Go to any UPS store in Langford but do not go here. There is a STRONG pattern of bas customer service - read all the reviews. When there are just a couple good and more bad.you can see the pattern

The old Asian guy doesn't care about service, nor how he represents UPS. I dropped in the other location two years ago and had a bad experience with this guy. My company gave me the choice between UPS and Purolator and despite this being a stone's throw from my house, I didn't want to use UPS. Today I needed to return a computer to Apple and this same guy at his new Westshore location scanned the box and then asked me to place it on another customers box behind me (in the customer waiting area). I told him no problem, but I require a receipt in case someone steals the package. This guy says to take a photo and that he's not responsible for it. If I don't like that then use another branch he claims. Are you serious? Drop a brand new computer off to UPS and they leave it out front so anyone can take it and offer no form of receipt? No thanks. I'll take the store managers advice and NOT use this location.ever! I do not recommend this place for anything.

This was the worst customer service I have experienced. The man working was extremely rude as soon as we entered the store, and made us come back a different day to drop off our package. We dropped it off a week ago and there is still no tracking info available. Will not be returning to this store again.

I won’t be going back to this store. I just needed to drop off a package (already paid with the postage on it so all he had to do was scan the barcode). The man working there was SO rude and so unfriendly. It seemed like my presence was the most inconvenient thing ever for him. Seems to be a common theme in the reviews. Definitely avoid this store and that man. I was in a happy mood prior to this but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Awful customer service. A couple weeks ago I went to pick up a package. The guy was rude, unhelpful, and wasn't wearing a mask. He just kept telling me they don't keep big packages there. Very recently, I called to ask if the same package was finally there and the guy kept saying no, no, no without offering any other suggestions to finding it. Then hung up on me.

Definitely stay far away from this location, save yourself the stress. It was a very bizarre experience. The only person working was an older asian man who was struggling to keep up with the 10+ person line out the door. I had a UPS InfoNotice left on my door, and thought I would ask about finding out what happened to my package. He proceeded to get very irate with me, yelling at me that it's not his problem and to go online to find it, and that he doesn't deal with UPS. This is at the UPS Store. Go figure. Very disappointed that such a large company would allow its customers to be treated so poorly. Definitely go to another location, or another company. If you check out the other reviews, you'll see this isn't an isolated incident.

Disappointing service, after paying extra for express delivery. The driver did not knock or made it known that he came 3 days in a row. Because he did not have access to the building. The customer service representative left a note to call upon arriving which he did not do. Have to wait two extra days for us to go pick up the package. No problem solving skills.

This location is no good! I sent off a package of important documents to Vancouver last week. Paid $30 for express post. A week later my package still hadn't arrived. I received a call from the store letting me know that the package was back here in Victoria because they couldn't find the address? ! I double checked, the address on the package was correct. I asked for my money back. No go. Should have read the reviews first. Thanks for absolutely nothing UPS. You did not do your job today and you stole my money.

I don't think he understands he's a UPS access point as he refused packages if you wanted to drop ship a parcel here and pick it up. Not sure what the owner thinks his core service is, but "sending and receiving parcels via UPS" doesn't seem to be it, even though it's listed as a location that does that kind of thing.

Today a parcel was left for me at 2: 28 PM and I picked it up at 5: 20 PM. I was told that he "doesn't really have room for this kind of package". The parcel was 8 lbs and about 24x30x5", and was only there 3 hours. Sorry for the inconvenience, I guess? Then why be listed on the UPS 'Pick up Point' locations? No opportunity to overcharge for a delivery hold?

Not the first time I've left this place wondering why I bothered using it, I'll be sure to never bother visiting them again. A year or so ago I sent a small parcel via UPS using this store, and was left with the distinct impression that I interrupted his day and it was a huge ordeal to schedule pick-up. Why exactly are you listed as a UPS location, then?

There are alternate UPS locations in this area with much better service, do yourself a favor and use them.

Use anyone but this shipping provider. UPS has lost countless packages, billed us for things we did not order/sent us items that were ordered by someone else, THREW expensive boxes at our door, dropped packages out of the back of the truck,
the phone services is atrocious.please for your own sanity do not use UPS.

The worse customer experience I have ever come across. I would totally give minus 5 star on the rating if I could. The store manager was rude in every interaction (the tone, the words, the attitude, the demeanour). The guy did not want to help when I asked how I could ship my items for return purpose. He said figure it out yourself, I don't do it here. Sold me 7 bucks tape so I can bundle the package up myself while telling me if I don't hold the tape the right way, I would be in a big trouble? !? !? !? It was as if the guy did not have any idea how to interact with a human being. We called him out on how rude and unwelcoming he was and he said you are teaching me how to behave. Hello! We are escalating the issue to the corporate UPS since talking to the guy is futile. I am so surprised the branch is still running. There is something wrong with this man in so many levels. Seriously best advice is to boycott the branch to show him this is totally unacceptable and drive him out of business.

Don't go here. I know he doesnt care about the reviews, if he did he wouldn't be such an AH. I'm just warning others to find somewhere else even it's 3 times the price. Tried to get a ups package dropped off here so I could pick it up later because I wasn't going to be home during the day. Apparently the Ups store doesn't do that, not sure why, he was too busy on Facebook for an explanation.

I put in an order online to have 2 very simple black and white shipping labels printed, the payment went through and it was all good. Paid around $4 in total.

I go to this store around 5 or 6 hours later and there is a single person working there with a very unorganized store, boxes on the floor and doesn't look very clean.

After waiting a while for customers ahead of me, he didn't seem to understand that I paid online and I kept having to explain to him that it was paid for. He kept telling me I had to pay $4 and to go on the computer to upload.

Finally got him to at least look at my reciept on my phone then he says he has been to busy and hasn't look at it yet.

I don't know how their systems work, but they seem to be underemployed to get the most profit. I'm sure it would take less than 3 mins to print what I requested. This is a part of their business model and is obviously being overlooked at this location.

So I'm just going to take the loss and never go back. Considering I can get pages printed at the library for $0.25.

I don't recommend this location to a single human.
